ABOUT US AND WHAT WE BELIEVE
The Church of ACTS is an inter-denominational, Bible-based, Spirit-filled church, and we believe in the releasing and unleashing of the presence and power of God. We are a local church with a global vision to build the Kingdom of God. Join us, and allow God's plan and purpose become a part of your life here!
A vision is the inspiration and framework for all that God is
planning and doing.
It is a picture of something in the future that answers the question,
"Where do we
want to go?"
God is at work in this place, and we invite you to join us and personally experience this year's vision.
Every year Pastor Bill Jenkins seeks the Lord for a prophetic word regarding God's plan for His people and His church for the new year. Once that word is received, it is cast out as the vision for that year and embraced by the body of believers.
You can get a written copy of the prophetic vision for this year, and check the years past, by checking out the PROPHETIC ALMANAC series.
The Lord does not change, and He has called us to "go and make disciples". Since the beginning, our mission has remained the same:
TURN NON-CONVERTS INTO CONVERTS
CONVERTS INTO DISCIPLES
DISCIPLES INTO LEADERS
LEADERS WHO WILL REACH THE WORLD FOR CHRIST
A mission is the
core purpose of
that normally remains unchanged over time.
is a body or ground
other parts rest.
Jesus is the
for our times.
What We BELIEVE
These are the top ten fundamental Biblical beliefs of the Christian faith that we adhere to:
The Bible is the inerrant,
infallible and inspired Word of God.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
There is ONE God existing in three persons:
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God,
conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Luke 1:26-38
Jesus died for our sins. Jesus Christ was crucified on a cross,
died, was buried, and was raised from the dead.
It's through the shed blood of Jesus that we can
repent of our sins, be forgiven, ask Him into our heart,
and receive eternal salvation.
Water baptism is by full immersion and is symbolic
of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.
Baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence
of speaking in tongues.
Deliverance from demonic strongholds
comes through the power of Jesus Christ.
The gifts of the Spirit are for the body of Christ today (miracles, healings, prophecy).
1 Corinthians 12
God has a plan for your life and wants to use you
for the building and advancing of His kingdom.
